Tom McGow, aka "Tabman" from Bennett has passed away. His daughter posted on THT that he passed on Monday unexpectedly.

He was clearly on of the good guys and always helpful.

I will post a link to the THT thread if it's allowed....

I raise my tabs to him.

I just read the official announcement from Bennett on their Facebook page. Great guy and he will be missed.

RIP Tabman

I had a gasket go out & Bennett took care of me a few years back. Excellent company.

Tom helped me out with a Sundeck a few years ago that took over a few days. He was definitely knowledgeable and dedicated to helping.. a very good man. My condolences to his family.

From our family to yours, god bless.

Tabman helped me with a problem a few years back. He sent me o rings and instructions on how to replace. No charge. A class act.

Thank you Sir.

That is too bad. Although I didn't know him personally, he couldn't have been more helpful when I need help with my tabs including getting me a good vendor to deal with, part #'s etc. He will be missed on here, and based on all the things I've read about him, he will be missed by many in all facets of his life I'm sure. RIP Tabman.

Wonderful comments on THT. I thought I would post his picture here so that we could put a face to the generous person behind CSR posts. Godspeed.....

So sad to hear this, Tom always went above and beyond for everyone. He was truly a great individual and will be missed throughout the boating community. RIP Tom.

What a great shame to hear Tom is no longer with us :(.

His comments on the numerous threads I scoured were invaluable when I was enlarging the trim tabs on my 38. Always unreserved in imparting his knowledge, offering advice and assistance on all things about tabs and tab controllers. Blokes like Tom are a rare breed indeed.

RIP from down under Tom.

RIP Tabman. I remember when he got sick a few years back & was off the forum for a while. Truly seemed like a great guy willing to help any & all. Condolences to all of his family & friends
