My oil pump bit the dust so time to start looking for a new one just wondering what kind you guys use ?? I'm kinda torn between a 3.5 gallon electric system and a pump up vacuum system, pro's and con's thanks in advance for input on this..B.B. My old one was electric by the way......

I bough one for $20 off Fleabay. I'm thinking I can use it for changing transmission fluid. Received a couple days ago, can't see its any better or worse than the stuff at West Marine.

At $20 it will be a rounding error in the MX budget, so even if I get only a couple uses, so be it.

I purchased this mechanical pump for draining the sea doo and Honda OB very well made and great reviews
I found it very easy to use and transfer oil to other containers for disposal

After review not sure it will hold all the oil from your big blocks .

I’ve had a Jabsco 3 1/2 gallon 12 volt pump for a number of years and I’m pretty happy with it. The only real downside to it is the cost. It was justified for me when I bought it because I was doing several boats for friends and family. None had Reverso pumps.
My current boat has a Reverso system for the motors and genny, but my Jabsco still comes in handy for the transmissions and the 3.0 in my kids boat.
Your signature indicates 2 different boats. A single engine boat with a V drive, and a 390 with twin engines that likely has a genny. Counting motors, transmissions, and a genny, it looks like you could potentially be doing a minimum of 7 oil changes a season so the Jabsco might be worth it.
No need to spend the money if you don’t want to though.
I’ve used a Topsider manual pump in the past and it worked well too.
