Hi all,
I'm confused about model changes.
I was looking at a 2004 320 and passed bc the engines were neglected. Then I saw the newer 310 which appears to be shorter but heavier. I understand the swim platform on the 310 is now attached and not bolted on. Is the new 310 more like the old 320 or 300? Isthe new 330 like the old 340? I'm concerned about having enough space, and I want to stay w Bravo 3s which are eliminated at the bigger sizes. Thanks

The model muddle was really messed up by Sea Ray. In the 2003-2008 range, the 320 was a true 32 foot boat with an overall length of 35 feet. The 340 was 34 feet of useable space with an overall length of 37 feet, six inches.

The newer models overall length reflects their moniker. So in a nut shell, the 330 of today is probably closer to the old 310 prior to 2003 as far as size.

"Model muddle", I am so using that. LOL

it gets worse - the '07-'09 310 is the same size as the '02-'06 300......then in 2010 they started calling the exact same boat a 330........the '08-'09 330 (which was the size of the '02-'07 320) was then called a 350 and so on and so on if you follow the bouncing ball

I remember when a pound of coffee was 16 oz :)

Well if we are going there, I remember when a pint of beer was served in 16 oz glasses, instead of fake 14 oz "pints".

Double check your favorite pub and see what they are doing. Some folks have been checking and the response is to now just call it "a beer".

Yes I know. But I pull the boat after 7 mos, service the drives, and keep it on a trailer. Ive had very good luck w my B3s. They're faster, more fuel efficient, and I want the ability to trailer it. But I do understand the appeal of Vdrives.

If you want to trailer it is logical to prefer outdrives. I am so pumped to no longer have that issue.

Good Luck and welcome again.

The 2007 310 is the same size as the 300 it would eventually replace. 10’5” beam and 33’ LOA. The 320 would get you 11’5” beam and 35’5” LOA

OP asked and then did not come back...

LOL... the OP asked his questions and didn’t check back within hours and he’s called out for it?? Aren’t you the one that just posted elsewhere about frustrations over short attention spans and expecting text messages to be answered immediately??
