SeaVee, Boston Whaler, Grady White, Robalo - Hell, even the Yamaha Jetboaters all do a Bimini Bahamas Bash.......what about Searay? Most of these are based out of the Bimini Sands and condos are available for the trailer boaters. Is there any interest? With searay's new "focus" on day boats this would be a great time - The other brands have people that trailer down from 1500 miles away......locals with cruisers/yachts could make the trip too. Chime in here if it something you would consider.....It would be a summer trip as that is the most desirable time to cross....

I’m very interested in a trip like that, I have a sea ray 260 da and my buddy has the 240

Shoot I just picked up a Sorrento 23. With enough planning and the right group I’d trailer down from Ohio to join. Sounds like a blast!

just saw your post here after i commented in your other thread....I'm thinking we pick a week in the summer, put a deal together for lodging for the smaller boats so it is somthing people can arrange/plan for like I outlined above - the first or second week of July could work - we were over the week of the fourth this year and it was fine - if we have a plan B of the keys, the second week might be better - if we get a concensus and enough interest we will start "registration" and I will look into the venue. a couple of pics to get things going

Bimini is not the "real" Bahamas like Eleuthera, Exumas or Abacos, but it is a great spot for a quick weekend from South Florida. I go 4 or 5 times a summer and would be interested in a group trip. Here is my boat "Power Play" at Big Game in July.

I get it - i would certainly like to explore the "out islands" too - but I think involving the sport boats would be a really good time and a chance for some to trailer down for the trip of a lifetime - lets see how many we can get "on board" as you know, tons of "day boating" to do while there - honeymoon, turtle rocks, the plane wrecks, sapona, bimini road, great isaacs, etc

Hey dreamer, do you go in your boat the 4-5 times when you? How long does it take and what speed do you travel? How much gas used? Where do you launch from???

I am from St. Pete, but move my boat to Ft. Lauderdale each May and bring it back in early August. Having it there allows multiple trips to the Bahamas and Keys. Going 24 knots, Bimini is only 2 1/2 hours or so from Port Everglades. I burn about 38 gallons per hour total.

That’s nice to know I’m definitely interested in that trip, I’m in Tampa and I’m out in the bay and downtown just about every weekend, I was just on Clearwater this weekend..

Count me in!!! When are we going???

Unfortunately, my boat is back up north for a year or two - but if someone wants to take the reigns go right ahead. I've always been a good instigator LOL

Count me IN!

If anyone hauling down from the NE needs an overnight parking spot to hang out or talk boats... My shop is in Florence, SC right off I-95 & I-20 and a great half-way stop when making the East Coast road trip.

I have made the Bimini trip in my Donzi numerous times and I would make a plan to go when the Offshore Powerboat Assn has their races at Bimini. That would be an awesome time to hang anchor and just enjoy watching the various race boats as well as the typical Bimini sights.

This is on my bucket list but will have to wait at least a few more years. Need at least a 2 week vacation to trailer there and back from PA and still have to convince my wife. She said it's too dangerous because of pirates....lol.

Drive down to my shop one weekend and drop off... easy two day trip there & back. The week of the trip, another day trip to ready for Bimini, then reverse after.
