I just installed the SS frame for my camper top. Looking for a source for the fittings you see in the picture. The wire on some fittings is gone and on others the nylon spaced is missing. Any ideas for a good source?

Any local canvas shop has these parts. They are routinely used for projects. Might be free if you look like a prospective customer or maybe five bucks at the outside if you just need one or two.

PM or call me so I can get quantities and I can check with my Distributors. BTW, do you know if this the original from Sea Ray produced by Great Lakes?

Those fittings are made by Taco Marine - check their website out for part numbers and you can easily google for an online retailer or check with a local store. If you want, upgrade to the newer style that doesn't use a wire "keeper" - the "pin" turns, but never comes out - look at the pics on their website - it'll make more sense.

You can definitely buy the pin/wire by itself - I'm not sure about the Delrin insert.

On this site (Taco Marine) there are almost exact replacements. Search miscellaneous pins with lanyards. $6.25 each.

sailrite.com has just about every canvas fitting and fasteners imaginable.

The manufacturer sells them directly? I did not know that (I usually just buy from myself! :) ). Thanks.

Bought these exact same fittings last season from Amazon for a customers boat. They come complete, fitting, pin, delrin insert. Not expensive.

Last time I went through this I used fishing leaders pre made..just bought them on line....The hole in the pin you posted a picture of...you would just put a small key ring through the hole same for the tab on the pole... Attach the leader and your good to go

Taco Marine was very responsive and led me to a source for the Delrin inserts. So new pins and new inserts and I'm good to go.
