Most likely and i'm going to take a shot here in 86 the popular color was Sand. Good Luck! I find that Spectrum Gelcoat to be right on the money with color even after the years.

You have been lucky on the color then. The hardest part of a gelcoat repair was creating the recipe for the matching color.

I agree totaly with you i think it also matters how much time is put into maintaining the hull with detailing...

My 89 is Arctic White. Spectrum did a great job matching the color. If you're doing the whole platform, exact match isn't as critical. Even against the transom, a slight variation won't be noticeable.
