Hi Everyone,

New to the club. Almost done rehabbing my grandfather's 1986 Weekender 230. Labor of love. Just had the seats completely redone in original colors, but one of the handled bolts that holds the seat in place on the underlying tracks broke.

I still have 3 of the 4, but does anyone know where to find replacements?

Thanks!
Mark

What type of track system do you have? Is it the kind that slides open/closed? And has a little release catch in the middle, inboard side that locks the seat in the upright position? And the whole setup is able to slide fwd and aft? You actually only need one handle per side - that's more then enough to keep it from sliding. And you only need a little bit of tension, at that.

Or, if it's a different setup, do you have a picture of the handle?

No pic, but that's the track system that I have. You're right, one on each side will work. Just trying to pick another up if available. I sincerely appreciate your reply Lazy Daze.

You're welcome!

They might still be available from Sea Ray - check your local dealer. However, it's just a standard thread bolt (maybe 3/8"-16). I once made one with a brass/bronze bolt and a piece of a starboard that I cut into a disc and knurled the edge. You can also get plastic handles from local hardware stores (like the kind you sometimes see on push lawnmower handles), instead of the starboard.

If you search through your parts manual (check on SR's website and download it) and find the part number, you "might" get lucky by googling and/or finding it on ebay or a place like Flounder Pounder, as well.

Everyone is right on one handle per side on the outboard side and the latch on the inboard side, post some pics of your new upholstery for us other 230 weekender guys! We don’t have our own thread in here.

Will post some soon! Seats are still in my wife's car from picking them up.

Thanks again for the good advice Lazy Daze!

Nice seats. Going to get mine done soon.
Does anyone know of a source for the scrolling cabin storage compartments doors?

Dennis, any idea if the tracks from my old back to back seats off my 88 300 would work for this boater?

I don't want to say "for sure", but the chances are very good that they could work. Maybe compare pics and measurements?
