Water hook up, need help

Hello all! I just bought a 1971 SRV 190 at auction for $800! I am very excited. Being this new to inboard/outboard boats I have a ton to learn. This may be a rather dumb question, but on the Mercruiser 165 inline six, is there a designated place to hook a water hose up to run the engine in the shop? If not how and where do you recommend I hook the water up.

. I have attached some photos here for reference, perhaps you are able to tell.
 
With the finned upper housing and the eyelet on top, that looks like a “pre-alpha” outdrive.
 
Have the same outdrives and I get all the parts from Mercstuff.
