I just picked up a 2008 260DA with shore pqower, can anyone tell me if the power engine hatch will work on shore power if the batteries are disconnect for the winter, Thanks, all,

I do not recall the 2008 260 DA having an powered engine hatch?

It does, I used it before wintering her, very nice compared to my 225 WE, I had to pull the hatch by hand... Thanks WV 320 Dancer.

Wow even my 280 did not have a power hatch. So I am pretty sure that is serviced by 12V power only.

Hi Kieran
A battery has to be connected to open the engine hatch. Shore power ie 115 volts will not open the hatch.
There is a 12 volt accessory plug in the glove box by the helm. You can connect 12 volts there and use it to power the engine hatch open and close.
This allows disconnecting the main batteries in the engine compartment.

The lift will most likely work off the batteries but the AC will probably maintain the batteries if the AC convertor is on.

It is also common with Sea Rays for a 12v power outlet at the helm to allow a booster pack to operate the hatch if the batteries are drained. Check your manual for this.

That is what I have seen on various vessels.
