Official 320 Dancer Thread

Just make sure your drill is going into the cabinet and not out towards the water :)

It was the fiberglass. Basically the bulkhead. You can see in the owners manuall where the fiberglass is built out to support the cabinet. Where I drilled was almost even with the level of the DC panel. Hope this helps.
It makes sense and I am sure it will help! I’ll try it this weekend.
Thank you for your help.

Thank you TroyK,

Thanks for your great instruction, drilling the hole was the easiest part of my day, right in the DC panel!
Without club Sea Ray I wouldn't even dare drilling or cutting anything on my boat, Here is a pic under the couch.

By the way I am already at 10 hours in this installation and I am not done yet.
Changing an Amp and adding a sub is no quick task but relatively doable.
Here are some pics of the rest of the installation.

Took me 2 weekends. Not hard just a lot of work. Pulling wire on these things is a pain. You will be rewarded though.

It looks like you have the hard parts all done. Getting down to the engine bay was the tough part for me, but it looks like you nailed that with no trouble. A guy said he would do the whole thing for me for 800. I can tell you that I spent over 30 hours doing it myself. (New fusion head unit, same amp, same sub cutout, replaced speakers and wired the led speakers for power) it cost me more than 800 by far but I have lots of satisfaction and the knowledge to address anything that may come up. You are doing great!

How come your boat only has three batteries?

That’s a great question. If you are asking, I guess it should come with more? It came with 3 batteries when I got it 11 years ago.
That setup works for me as I never stay on the hook overnight. I got new ones last year and changed them once before that, seems normal.
Now you got me worried as I added this sound system and also a 12v tv for the kids.

Mine came from the factory with 4. Do you have a generator? You will be fine as long as its on the 2 battery house side.

1 battery is dedicated to the starboard engine and the other 2 for the house, no gen.
I am planning to keep the boat on a mooring for 2 weeks next summer, I hope this won’t be an issue or I’ll have to bring the red little h....
Oh no! never mind, just kidding!

I have a 2003 320 Sundancer that came with a Taylor Made FastBack. It has only been out of the bag once since I've owned the boat (6 years). I never used it because it has no poles and despite an exhaustive search I was unable to find replacements. If any of you wants try to find the poles it is yours. Shipping may be prohibitive but PM me your zip and I'll look into it for and let you know

Was Camper Canvas not an option on the 320 DA? If so has anyone had one made and who did you use?

Don’t have a local canvas guy in Charleston, WV. Anybody work with someone you could recommend that would have the pattern?

Most guys won't just cut you a pattern. Every boat is a little bit different. They will come to your boat and measure. from google.

Any recommendations on a small vacuum cleaner to use below. My 25+ year old dirt devil gave up and went in the trash when I was cleaning out the 280.
