has anyone replaced their shower hose? Ours is both gross and pretty stiff. The fawcet and controls work fine and don't need to replace those - just the hose. FYI I can't make out the complete name on the hose but it starts with aqu.

Also does anyone know how to remove the knobs - I want to give this unit a thorough cleaning.

Pegged out now. Sending unit?

To remove the knobs try prying out the little caps on the top of the knobs. There should be a screw under the cover you remove and lift the knob off the stem.

has anyone replaced their shower hose?...

Yes, I replaced my transom shower hose with this one from Amazon. The stainless steel hose is quite flexible, stores easily, this model is very long (there are shorter ones but it allow me to use it anywhere on our swim platform) it looks great and is fairly inexpensive. I also replaced the transom shower head but that took a lot of research to find one that would fit and have a shut off.

Clicked on the Amazon link but nothing showed up - do you have a different link or a brand name? Thanks...

It might be Vigilink getting in the way as it works for me. On the page there is something that says continue to Amazon in a box.

Is that hose "screw and play" ? (lol)

It was on my setup and I also replaced the shower head. They were standard connections. I will look for pictures and post some later.

I just took mine apart yesterday. The hose obviously screws onto the handle. However, the b ase of the hose is clamped on the back of the shower fitting. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow.

My hose was cut and clamped to a fitting that screwed onto the supply fitting on the boat. The fitting clamped onto the hose happened to be the same fitting on the end of the shower hose I purchased. Still looking for my pictures.

Just as a followup... While I was out at the boat the other day I snapped a few pictures of what I did to upgrade the transom shower. The update included a modern shower head, new cut-off and much improved stainless coiled hose that is easier to use and is much longer for better reach on the platform. This is a tight area and I measured to find a proper fit and it still required a very minor modification to the box. There was a plastic trim ring on the bottom at the hole that needed to be removed to get me the final clearance.

I think it looks much nicer, it is certainly easier to clean up and put away and the real plus is everyone like using it compared to the original.

Hey Kevin,
That Shower Head looks nice, do you remember the make and model of it?

I replaced the entire unit with this one. It is note plug and play though. It has an oblong cutout and the stock shower cutout is rectangular but a starboard mounting solved this easily enough. Looks great and was the last plastic fitting on my boat to be replaced with mostly stainless.
