Hello All,

We just purchased a 2004 340 and was wondering if anybody makes a swim platform extension for this boat? Sorry for asking this question if it has already been asked. This is all new to me.

try swimplatforms.com also florida bow thruster can do a hydraulic one (as long as you have v-drives and about 20k)

Thank you for the quick response. We have 3 young boys that spend most of the days on the back platform so more room would always be nice.

Hello All,

Just spoke with Mountain Marine in Co last night. The are going to be making a template for a 340 sun dancer 34" platform extension in the next few weeks. Cost will be approx $1750 plus shipping. I am buying one!!!

Not to highjack, but is the area under the swim platform accessible from the engine room?

More expensive but a Sea Lift hydraulic platform is awesome, I put one on 3 years ago and love it. I carry an Achillies RIB with a 15 hp 2 stroke Merc on it, being on the Chesapeake almost every anchorage has back creeks to run further up and explore, it's a boating experience all in itself as get to explore areas not otherwise accessible.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you have to pay for the sea lift?

$21k installed in MD. Paid for it in Feb at boat show price installed in March by Florida Bow Thrusters, they drove up for just my job. SR dealers are installing them now as well, off the top of my head think the lift was $17k and the install $4k, that's rounding, and three years ago.

Great, Thanks for the info. I am jealous of the set up. Too rich for my blood right now but my next boat will defiantly have one.

Here are pictures of a 290 that was done with the extended platform. They ( Mountain Marine ) are telling me that it will look similar to these pictures. Platform 1.jpgPlatform 2.jpg

I know this is an old thread but has the original poster completed the swim platform addition? Pics would be great.
