I was troubleshooting my water tank gauge. Turns out the gage itself has a few indicator light failed. Picture below take with all sensor leads disconnected.

Where do you find these boards. Marine Max? Used? Can they be fixed?

Just ordered from Marinemax. Aprox $70 Supposedly only 5 left at Sea Ray. Not sure if they are still made or not

This is the best water, holdIng tank and diesel fuel tank gauge I have ever owned. It's to the right of the blower switch. It's all mechanical and very simple. The button at the top is a little plunger that you pull out and push in while depressing one of the lower buttons. Button number one on the bottom is fresh water. Button number two is the holding tank. When you gently push on the top button while holding down a lower button, the needle moves in a range of 0 to 10. 0 is empty and 1 is ten percent, 2 is twenty percent, etc., and 10 is 100 percent full. Tiara covered the warranty repair of the tank monitor to the left of the genny switch for a total of two repairs. After that, no more. So my first two warranty service calls were used up in four weeks. The selling dealer recommended the Tank Tender as the permanent fix. That was in 2004. It has paid for itself by avoiding unnecessary pump outs, because I always know exactly how full or empty my tanks are down to the last quart. There are really some old Hatterases around here that have these, and they still function perfectly.

I looked at those but $90 delivered is more in the budget this year as opposed to $900.

Been researching putting all data on a NEMA2k network, and will be deciding on tank level senders as part of that project

I hear you. However this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. The $90 stuff is pretty much crap and I hate throwing money away. This gauge will never fail in the life of my ownership, and will not have to be fixed when I sell the boat to a new owner.

David, I might have found some help for you if you haven't already fixed this. I remembered seeing your post. There is a guy on facebook sea ray owners group that works for a dealer in NZ that has a ton of parts, literally containers of stuff from when they outfitted Sea Rays. They are selling them super cheap. Teak tables, wiring harnesses, all kinds of stuff, brand new and OEM. Anyway, he is selling complete new OEM panels for like $130 shipped to the US. I told him to hold on to those indicators for fresh and holding tanks. Not sure what he wants but should be a good deal. His name is Paul Hughes and his email is Paul@Raeline.com. Not sure what other unicorn parts people need but he has all kinds of stuff.

How did replacing the indicator light gauge in the panel work out for you?

Other than expensive (part was $90), all my panel guages work. The water tank was the gage, the waste tank was the in tank sensors.

Id like to know what the price would have been from this source listed above

That’s good news.
My waste tank gauge on the electric panel and in both heads works perfectly, but my fresh water tank gauge (indicator) on the panel stopped working this season, it just reads full all the time now.

4 transistors on the led circuit board. Easy fix. Just fixed someone else's from the Forum. I can send you the transistors or send the board to me and I will fix. Either way, no charge. Pay it forward!

Im in awe of you skills!! Im pretty good, but this is a cut above!! I trashed mine. I had a long lost of minor stuff and quick was more important at the time. But post up how and we can help soneone else fix a $90 part for next to nothing. It mske a very expensive hobby a liitle more affordable!!

Thanks for the great info. May take you up on that once the boat is out of the water.

I enjoy helping others on this forum. Lord knows this forum has taught me a lot over the last 15+ years.
The transistors cost $9.95 for a bag of 50, so I have quite a few left over. I can repair and test in about 30 minutes, so not much to it.

The problem with my fresh water gauge is it always reads full. All lights light up when I check it. I wonder if it’s the gauge or some other problem.

Its the 4 resistors on the led display. Send it to me and I’ll fix for you. FREE!
