Official 380 Thread

BBOC, is CT to far to travel?
First off I am looking for only freshwater boat, assuming CT would be saltwater.... second my apologies I did not specify year range, upto 2004... and finally I would consider any boat within reason for shipping, and the deal would have to make sense...

Hello 380 thread peeps.... I just sold my 92' 370 and looking for a freshwater 380 Sundancer, prefer 2003, but will consider others. Anyone looking to move their good clean low hour 380DA?

This one is for sale locally to me, and it's being sold by the same broker who did my deal 2 years ago. Broker is an excellent, no-nonsense type of guy with a stellar reputation around here. Price seems a bit high, to be honest, but there is always room, especially this time of year.

Oh, and look at that, easy drive across Lake Erie to get it to you.

I'd be happy to give it a look-around for you, and I can recommend a surveyor who did mine.

I will check this out.... I was told to try and get newer because of some issues SeaRay had with stringers on these years. Do you know the boat at all? Let me look at it first and I will let you know and appreciate the fact that you would go look at for me, that's really frickin cool!

I actually don't know the boat unfortunately, since we're up on Lake Ontario. I also heard the same thing about stringers, but I know my bilge was clean, dry, no stains, so I'm assuming water intrusion was the worry there?

Anyway, no problem at all. My shop is in a Buffalo suburb near the airport, so this is only about 20 minutes away. Obviously, familiarity not only with the brand, but the exact boat is a huge plus here, which is why I put it out there. Well, familiarity with the seller also. We're off to Annapolis Powerboat Show Thurs-Sun, but any other time is cool.

bracketracer, thanks just spoke with Tom, very honest and upfront with me. I will pass on this boat, just not what I want to get into … thanks for the heads up

LOL. You work quickly. I like that. Sounds like it wasn't quite in the shape mine was when I bought it (pretty much showroom, 230 fresh water hours).

We sold are 90 350 last year and moved up to a 380 Dancer this year, absolutely love this boat.

There is a 2000 380 with Cats in Harrison TWP. Good luck with your search

Replying to a post from Doc O Rock from several weeks ago. I replaced my cockpit ice maker with a refrigerator earlier this summer. I had to do a little cutting and run a 12v feed but really wasn't a big deal. Nice to have a beer fridge nearby........

Thanks for the info and I look forward to having the same experience. I know the owner of the 380 with Diesels in HT..... already looked at it and talked to him.... He's a great guy... thanks.

First I'm hearing of stringer issues on these models. Please expound...

from what I was told Sea Ray had issues with 1998-2001 the later the year the less the problems. your may be just fine, but Sea Ray actually replaced some stringers under warranty and some they did not and I have seen this issue on some boats here is the great lakes. that's what I know, you just need to check for wet stringers...

I need a replacement Masthead/Anchor light for a 2003 380DA. The SR part number is 1543750 and the actual Perko # is 1123SPL004 which of course was a special order from Sea Ray. Sea Ray does not have any and Perko has nothing close. This is the light with the double bend which I know is on at least the 2002, 2003 and 2004 models. I've searched FP and Ebay to no avail. Anyone else have a source?

Hi mratlndmrk. Check the following site

Good afternoon we are trying to get the radar unit out of a buddies 2000 380. Does anyone know how to remove this thing?

We actually figured it out. The panel the radar was on has 4 wing nuts on the back of it. We took off the instrument panel with all the switches and reached across to remove the wing nuts. It was all I could do to reach the far ones. This was really a stupid design. They should've put screws in like every other panel.

Well I finally found and bought the boat we wanted, 2003 380DA with 433 hrs on 8.1L Horizons and 211 hrs on Genny. Really clean and in great shape, doing sea trial in spring and hopefully will be driving it across Lake Michigan to have it hauled home.... I am not totally sure the size of the TV above the Refrigerator, but it is not a smart TV, how large of TV can fit here?
