Replacing lower shift cable and boot B3

Zip tie the bellows small end last, Make sure it's not stretched or compressed to much in either direction with the drive all the way up and down.

Agree with what he said above.
I temporarily put the bell housing in place and moved it through its range of motion.

For me, it was a little more than the width of my 4 fingers. (Very scientific method)

Did you make the tool for crimping the compression ring on the small end or are you going with a zip tie?

I made the tool Very easy to make. Due it right
I show mechanic in my yard the tool I made and he did not know what it was for.
He said they just tie wrap it ( wow ).
Wondering if the tie wrap fails and the boat sinks will the insurance pay out as the work was not done to specs.

I made one for myself too.
I was a little surprised (but happy) that they told you how to make it instead of requiring that you buy a “special” tool to do it.

I also made a socket for the large B3 forward prop nut.

I used a 12” long piece of 3” exhaust pipe. I welded 6 pieces of 1/8” thick steel in a hex shape and welded that to the open end of the exhaust pipe. The opposite end is capped and has a 1” nut welded to it.
