Hey 3fouroh- just wanted to ask are you satisfied with the 12K unit or wish you went to 16k?

I am satisfied. That is the turbo model so it moves a good amount of air.

It keeps the cabin at 69 even on 95 degree days in the sun as long as you keep the door closed. If you want to run with the door open all the time it may not hold that sort of temp spread. Also on my boat right now the salon AC is carrying the bulk of the load. My forward AC only blows about 58 degrees and one of those vents is in the cabin.

I will replace it in a few months when I get around to it and I suspect when I replace that one it will perform far better.

Together they have kept the cabin at 69 all summer even with the front one running at 58.

I would get the insulated compressor on both of them in hindsight. I now notice my front compressor kicking on and off.

Thanks for the good info

So, this past weekend after scrubbing my bilge from top to bottom I suddenly had an inoperative Raymarine ST8001 autopilot. The unit powers on and gives me a heading in standby mode but wont hold that heading when engaged to do so. I know virtually nothing about AP's but read about "rudder reference transducers" and "fluxgate compasses." Could I have inadvertently disconnected something when cleaning the bilge that would mess up my autopilot?

Hi guys, question about the galley faucet. Has anyone had to replace the sprayer itself? My water pressure is terrible in the "normal" pattern, but great with the "sprayer" button held down. I have taken the end off of it and cleaned to no avail. Because I have excellent pressure with the "sprayer" activated, and on all other faucets, I am pretty confident I have good pressure coming to the head itself and am just looking to replace the sprayer handle. So 2 questions really: 1) how does this come off the retractable hose? I am assuming it turns off but wanted to double check... 2) anyone know the model number for the nickle-brush faucet?

thanks all!

The fluxgate compass is mounted on the port side of the "glove box" at the helm, so doubt you did anything to that.

The rudder feedback sensor is located between the rudder posts. It's a small arm that attaches to the port rudder and "senses" what position the rudders are pointed. There is a small cable that connects it to the AP computer which is located next to the fuse block under the helm. The wires are extremely small (like 24 ga) and its possible you broke the connection at the sensor.

Does the rudder position show up at all on the display? If it does does it move when you turn the wheel?

Hey thanks for the information....of course I'm back home but will look carefully when I get back to the boat on the weekend. I know that it would display the heading on the autopilot and I could engage the autopilot and hold that heading but turning the knob on the AP did nothing to turn the boat. Then later in the day I engaged the AP heading but I could turn the boat using the steering wheel so the AP was not working at that point.

Have any of you mounted a night vision camera on the hard top, and if so, how and where did you mount it? There isn't much in the way of flat surfaces up there, and I don't want to mount it in a place where it would interfere with the radar. Suggestions on mounts and locations? Thanks!

For those of you that may have replaced your cockpit AC did you remove old and install new thru the access hatch in the seat structure or did you remove some of the seat itself to replace and install new unit?????

Have you tried soaking it in vinegar. That always worked for me. Just get a glass of vinegar and let it soak overnight or for a few days and it will break up all those mineral deposits and work great.

On another note. I am gonna put some underwater LEDs on. The other day I had about a quarter tank of gas in each tank and an 1/8 tank of water. Mine also has gassers so it was really light on the back.

Normally I would say to mount an LED outboard of each trim tab and 2 or 3 in the center. Problem is the water line was at the bottom of that green block on the left side of the boat in the picture below so I just don't think there is any room to put a light out there when the boat is light it will be out of the water. The water is about an inch above the outboard edge of the trim tab.

Where did you guys that have put them on mount yours?

Ok. New found mystery item in the boat. Master stateroom AC vent. What the heck is this box for? Has power for something.

Does anyone have the spec on this thru hull input strainer? I can't make sense of the parts manual to see what the size it is. Mine has 2 broken "rods" (attached). I can't tell if it's 1.25" or?? It is about 3-4 feet up from the prop shafts (much smaller than the engine intakes). It's manufactured by Gronco I think. Any insight would be really appreciated.

I don't have any strainers forward of the shafts, are you sure that is a strainer - it's in the area where I have a transducer, could that be a speed transducer that the wheel is knocked off of?
