Just wanted to start a thread on Burnham Harbor. This will be our first time docking here for the summer and wanted to get some ideas, thoughts, feedback..or anything.

We really liked it. The location to the City is great. Being right there on the museum campus puts you in the center of all the activities that go on. That being said, where we were in the marina (R dock) was very quiet. We really enjoyed it.

I have stayed at Burnham as a transient a couple of times this summer for concerts, we boat out of Diversey. I really enjoyed the people at Burnham, seems like a lot of folks that live outside the city and use their boats as their weekend "city" condos. Both times we stayed at Burnham folks walked down to grab lines for us as we docked, which turned into hanging out over drinks and getting to know them. Location is unbeatable except if you are driving in by car during one of the many events that take place in that area of the lakefront. Traffic can be a nightmare, but the scenery and access to the city is second to none

Great Harbor for tailgating before Bears games and concerts as well
