Sunset on the Sacramento River Delta

Just had to share. Feel free to share in images, why you boat.

We boat because as children we were fortunate enough to have a summer home that my grandfather built. Back then we had NO running water and an outhouse. We had a manual pump to draw fresh water from a well for drinking and cooking. It had the cleanest and coldest water you could imagine and only 30 feet from the creek which is salt water.
My first boat was small wooden dinghy that my grandfather fixed up for me and I named it popeye.
Once you have water and boating in your blood I guess it's a lifestyle that just stays with you.

We were anchored out in the Sacramento delta this weekend too. Listening to a band onshore at B&W Marina. Beautiful weekend to be out.

Nice. We were over at Bedroom 1. Only 3 other boats there with no loud parties. Caught some keeper stripers and grilled them up for lunch on Saturday. If it gets any better, I haven't seen it.
