330da 4 blade prop and trim tab question

new owner of a 1994 330 da. What would be the best 4 blade prop to install? I currently have 3 blade 17x17 nibral. The boat seems to have undersized trim tabs I have heard of people extending them. How much of an extension is addiquit?

On my 87 21' Monaco I had both a 3 blade 17 pitch and a 4 blade 19 pitch (IIRC on the pitch). The 4 blade had more low end for getting out of the hole and towing skiers. The 3 blade worked better for cruising.
 
my 320 is under tabbed as well. Most advise against extending the tabs as the hydraulic rams likely won't support the additional force. However Bennett offers a "Down Fin" for $38/4 pack that helps cup the water under the tab and provides additional lift. They have been recommended by many on this site including our resident tab expert.
