60 DA Makeover

Consultation went well. Shoulder not so well. I am going to PT every morning at 6:00am 3X a week yet I am in pain all day. On cellebrex, lidocane patch, heat pack, ice and Ciroc. Ok the Ciroc and Malbec in the evening. LOL I go back the end of the month with hopes of convinceing my doctor to replace it. If so then the boat comes out of the water for the winter. If he won't operate then she stays in for the winter.
Quick question - if you launch Friday will you be staying in the area?
Sounds like a rebuild for you, sorry you have to go thru that. A couple of cortisone shots worked wonders for me and then.....hiring the young Bucks to do the major buffing projects !
I'll be in the area until the first of Dec...

One day I'll be invited to spend an evening on a boat that of that caliber. It's beautiful! I hope all goes well on Friday for you. Thanks for sharing.
Come on over to the show this W/E. Non-stops to BWI...30 min shuttle ride to downtown ANP

Update: I did launch last Fri with no problems ! After 12 months Engines & ONAN fired right up as though they had just been run. I only had a 25 min run to it's home, but preliminary #s @ 3/4 fuel 1/2 water - 72% load: 1875 rpm, 28 kts, 62 GPH. Normally at that rpm, I'd see 76% load, 26kts and 66gph. Still detailing engine room plus a few interior items. Tim

So there I am cruising out the south river this afternoon with my dad on his boat when I look off to port and see an unbelievable amount of Sea Ray white hull and unmistakable lines. All I can say is she's more amazing from the water than the photos can convey Tim. They just can't do her justice!

Good to see her out of the yard and back in her natural environment. Congrats!

I can honestly say that is the nicest looking Sea Ray I have ever seen. The lines on that boat are incredible! Congratulations.

Looks like this one. Beautiful boats!

Thnx Guys....Jim, nice pics...thnx...it's great to have her in the water again. I was busy doing other projects last week, so I haven't spent as much time as needed recently. It was time to replace the dock lines , so I bought 270' of 3/4" ..Ugh... So I'll be tackling that task soon. One of my daughters will be visiting during a semester break ! The last time she was on the boat was in the Keys with her other brother and sisters 3 yrs ago. Maybe we'll see you out this w/e. We'll probably go to St Michaels, Ego Alley, etc. Tim

....Some have asked " what's that white material near the lift straps ? " Clark's Landing Marine always seems to accommodate my eccentricities. I grab some used shrink wrap ( 8 ) x ( 24" X 30" ) pieces and fold them over on themselves as the straps take the load. As the load is taken up, the " wrap " slides on itself rather than the new paint. They kindly fish the 8 pieces out of the water as it's launched ! :smt101

Cruzn, You have got to get that big ole girl of yours down to the Florida Keys. I would love to take a very long ride on such a pretty boat! You have done a GREAT job with your boat. BTW, Bahamas not to far from the Keys, just saying. JC

JC, love your spirit... I've been known to hang out at Key Largo for a while. Been to the Abaco's on her...enjoyed every minute. Maybe one day we' ll hoist a couple and I'll tell you my " Fish Stories " fighting the Gulf on my own in the winter months ! YOU ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE ON AQUA FIRMA ....

Cruzn, What did you think of the Abacos? I have always gone to the Exumas. In my old age I like the slow pace there. We are going for 6-8 weeks this summer! Our plans are to go to Big Major Spot, set anchor and use a day boat to run all over the place. Its the first year that I am really almost retired. I cant hardly type this I get so excited thinking about it. Heading to Key Largo next Tuesday for 2 weeks!!!! Would love to hear some of those big ole "fish stories" sometime. Have a great week, JC

JC , It was all good, 'cause I was on the water ! Since I was flying my kids in and/or out, I tried to stay reasonably close to airports that were convenient. That's one of the wonderful things about the SE Coast of FL, you can be there in mins via plane or a couple of hrs by boat ! Tim

Well, I don't own one, but I had the chance to run one from Ft. Lauderdale to Virginia Beach, VA. It is a damn fine boat to drive as well as good looking.
