Hi all, I apologize if this has been discussed somewhere else but I searched and did not find this specific problem.

I have a 96 370 Sundancer with a Crusair SMXII system that I've owned for 4 years. 750 Hours on original 7.4 Mercs, lived it 's life, until me in fresh water, VERY well maintained! Climate system worked like a dream the first year I had the boat. Then out of nowhere the water pump stopped pumping water. I get an error message at the panel. It has two cooling units, one forward and one aft. The aft compressor was seized when I bought the boat. The front unit tries to come on multiple times but because of no water circulating it eventually shuts off. I've checked sea strainer and when I had the boat out for paint this summer I checked intake. it was not clogged with growth. Sea cocks open etc. One minute it worked the next it didn't. I've read troubleshooting guide, it mentions something about pump relay going bad. I've listened to the pump when trying to use the system and there is no sound at all. I'm not sure how to check for power at the pump without cutting insulation off the wire as it's hardwired in.

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this problem. I'm in Olympia WA and have had a very hard time finding anyone locally who works on marine systems.

Any help/advice is appreciated!

If you go to the 370 thread, there was some talk early on in the thread about “triggers” that go bad so that the pump doesn’t come on. I’ve not had to replace mine (knock on wood) so I am not even sure where they are located. That might be your problem. Take a look at the thread.
