We boat exclusively on Lake Lanier, GA and boat is kept under a roof. Next summer I want to remove the bridge enclosure and leave it off for the summer/fall. However, I do not want my upholstery to be “outside.”

I am going to look at 2-options. 1) Covers for the helm seats and the “U” shaped bridge seating and 2) a bridge cover similiar to the cockpit cover I had on our 260DA.

Anyone ever done this or have covers similiar? I am kind of leaning toward the “cockpit” cover concept utilizing the existing snaps that are used for the enclosure. I think the bridge would be much more enjoyable and cooler with more air moving through it.

I have canvas that covers the forward U shaped settee and table which zips to canvas that completely covers the helm; it is attached using straps, clips, and snaps. The rear bench seat has two pieces of canvas which slip over and cover the back and seat. The only things not covered on the bridge is the kitchenette and helm seats. I would think canvas to cover the entire bridge area using the enclosure perimeter snaps would be rather large and unwieldy.

I had a full bridge cover made for my Meridian 411. It was not all that hard to handle. I removed my enclosure in the spring and did not put it back on until fall. The full cover kept the boat dry and clean and was under 1000custom made. I remove the enclosures on my 52 in the spring and haven’t had a cover made yet as I keep it under a covered slip as well and it stays surprisingly clean. I will have the full cover made this winter because we like to anchor out and don’t want to be out in the rain even with the hardtop.

The new owner of our 36DB removes the enclosure and carpet, just puts covers over the seating and now he has the Azimut he always wanted
We are able to open and flip up the front and (2) rear EZ2CY panels that give us all the air we want.
