im looking at buying a 2006 38 Sundancer and the survey found that at WOT The boat should be between 4400-4800rpm. The sea trial showed the
At the boat maxed out at 4000rpm. Any ideals what would be causing the lack of rpm? The boat rides fine, gets on plane ok, just a lack of top end rpm. The boat currently has 4 blade 22 L 25 and 22 R 25 props.... I wasn’t sure if that’s what are supposed to be on it or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like they replaced the props and you can’t get that high on RPMs. Those are good for getting early on plane but you sacrifice top speed

25? That sounds steep. I'd want to know the history of that: Why they're on there and for how long, and did he know they couldn't reach WOT?

Not sure about the factory prop size, but I've seen a mid 2000 390 Dancer with 8.1's and 22x21.5" 4 blade wheels.

Anyone know what the factory prop is?
The factory prop depends on the engines. With the 8.1's they were 21x22.5 RH and 21x23 LH. For the diesels they were 21x24 both LH and RH.
