Black Water Tank - Ever Empty?

It can depend on the pump out equipment. My indicator reads Empty after going to the fuel fuel station where I get 90% of our pump outs. It will read Empty for about 5 flushes afterward. If I get a pump out at our marina fuel dock, it never reads Empty. I've been using Happy Camper holding tank treatment and Dawn dish detergent for several years and could not be more satisfied.
I could not agree more on the lack of 3/4 level indicator!

While we’re on this subject, I wish there was one last warning between the “half” reading and the “full - do not flush” warning! There've been a few times when I’ve delayed getting a pumpout and there’s always that suspense around wondering when you just hit the last allowable flush!

I agree completely! I literally just said this to my wife on Saturday. If I notice roughly when the 1/2 light comes on it gives some sense of where the tank is at. If not, it's like Russian Roulette! Sometimes I can use a flashlight and visually check the level in the tank...
