Low fresh water pressure...any ideas/suggestions?

Question in response to this - our water filter is definitely cleaned. But when it's installed, the water pressure is awful. When we remove it, it works perfectly. Suggestions?
How does it run good when the filter is off/out?..are you holding your hand over the hole to create a seal?
If so, that's what happened with me.
I realized there should have been a rubber O ring in the filter housing, to create an airtight seal.
Before I realized that, I'd screw it on snug, only to be dumbfounded as to why the water was burping and spitting air/water out the faucet.
I found a set of O rings at Advance auto.

Runs great when the filter is off - but now that you mention it, I don't think I recall seeing an O ring on it. I'll have to check, thanks!

Nah no luck for me, I’m contemplating buying a new faucet. I just hate to start replacing parts without knowing
Me too.
yea i cleaned that one out still no luck. i would say i have a bad regulator but my pressure is the same whether on the pump or the water hookup so i dont think thats the problem. i was thinking about replacing the whole faucet in the bathroom.
Somebody mentioned my problem could have been the regulator after I explained my pressure was low on shore and pump.
Maybe your problem actually could be the regulator?
I just don't know much about them.
But if you cleaned the filter, and the faucets, the list of culprits is definitely getting shorter.

Would you consider trying a different style screen filter? I like this one because its similar to the filters for the air conditioner and generator raw water intakes. $18.50 on Amazon. PowerFit PF31089. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with this company.

Note: I do not know if it will fit in your boat.

If you are only having low pressure at 1 or 2 faucets and you have removed the faucet aerator to clean it and still have low flow I would ask if you completely disassembled the aerator to clean it. The aerator has 3-4 pieces that fit tightly together and calcium deposits will clog the small passages. Remove them and take a closer look. Tap them on a paper towel on a table top. A can of compressed air will help blow out the little holes. Reassemble and install. I've seen this solve this issue several time.

I actually removed all the guts from faucet completely, pressure got a little better but nothing great. If the regulator was the problem I would assume that with the pump on I would have good pressure and that’s not the case. I would be interested to know if the screen in the pump filter is bypassed when the city water hookup is used

Yup, first thing we tried. Other than being glad we did it because they were gross, it didn't solve the problem. Thanks!
