I have this ice maker installed in my boats cockpit. I recently had to rebuild the ice making portion of it as well as replace the fan motor. I have it all hooked up in my basement and it’s cooling hooray!!!
What I am uncertain of as I deleted the wiring picture is the direction of the fan motor turning. Should it be blowing air over the coils through the front vent or pulling air from the front vent through the coils??
If anyone with an ice maker can just feel in front of theirs to tell me if it is blowing hot air out the front would be great.

I don't have the answer but shouldn't you be able to access the wiring diagram from their website?

Yes here that is but the original wires to the fan were both black. So that is why I’m asking the question as I may have it wired backwards and the fan would be turning the wrong g way. Currently the fan is pulling air into unit. That did not seem right. I would think it would blow the air out of unit over the condenser coils and out the front of unit.

As the working voltage for your ice maker is 120 VAC, reversing the wires on the fan will not change the air flow direction.

Ok so I guess I need to take a look at how the fan blade is installed. The old one crumbled and again loss of my original picture I took of ass manly and wiring

That has to be it. It should be blowing air out front of unit not sucking it in.

not so sure about that....the AC unit in my boat pulls air across the coil....the radiators and AC units in cars are cooled by air being pulled across the fins by a fan when the car is not moving.....

I don't know the correct answer but I would be sure before I switched things around....

good luck...

I think I have it right, just got to verify when I get home. This site is awesome as always! Happy boating to all!

To verify air movement direction, why not check it out on a fellow dock members's ice maker. Put some smoke in front of the grille and that will quickly give you the answer that you are looking for.
