im having a issue with my QJet, it's acting as if it is starving for fuel then bounces right back. So far I've had the carb rebuilt, it was pretty bad but was done. There was crap in the filter. Tomorrow all filters get pulled and replaced, again.

This may be a stupid question but I need a gearheads mind or minds. We have had a great deal of mud wasp this year. IF one has built a nest in a fuel vent can the lack of ventilation to the fuel tank cause a vacuum effect to a carb?

Yes. Try running with the gas fill cap off. Same effect as a vent. Just watch you don't splash water in. The other somewhat "popular" thing to fail are the fuel lines, themselves. They degrade on the interior, creating a "check valve" of sorts. Plumb a portable tank directly to the engine to eliminate every variable that's upstream.

I will try this today. The only non new fuel line is the fill line. It's due to be done this month.

So far I feel like I'm just throwing parts at this problem but I started at the carb and it was only $22. Filters are today and then the vent.
