Any of you fine folks have a hot tip on getting a slip in Saugatuck this weekend?

Been planning an overnight to Saugatuck for a while now. Of course I didn't start calling the marinas in the area until today. I wanted to make sure the weather would cooperate. I didn't figure it would be so tight on availability!

I was trying to get into Sergeant, Singapore or Coral Gables for Saturday. So far I'm wait-listed...zero openings.

Worth a shot to post I figured. I'll start calling the other side of the river shortly....thanks in advance for any thoughts!
 
You can anchor in kalmazoo lake just east of sargents. There is a free dingy dock to go ashore in saugatuck.
 
It's tough to get into on short notice. They used to raft boats 10+ deep at the hotel downtown. That can be a noisy night of no sleep with all the drunks. Still, if you like to party, it works for some folks. Anchoring out is a good option.

I may end up doing that. Or the basin just off Lake Michigan. I'd prefer to have AC but I'll run the anchor if we have no other options. The forecast looks good so we're looking forward to getting down there.
 
Tower usually can find an opening. Dinghying to the dinghy dock, Ubering or walking into Douglas (which we prefer) are always fun!
 
It has been 5 years but we would go to Tower in Douglas and there was a shuttle to go to Saugatuck if you don't have a dingy.
 
You can call the interurban (269) 857-1418 for a ride. Cost a dollar per person
 
Awesome. Thanks, guys! I called Tower yesterday and they said they'd call back. Haven't heard back yet. I'm hoping they have a slip. I do have a dink so getting around is no problem.

You may have to be persistent with them :)
 
Tower Marine is a nice marina. They have a great pool in a wooded, park like setting. Hercules is a nice restaurant in Saugatuck. You pass a nice art gallery in Douglas on the way to Saugatuck. It is on the right just before the bridge over the K-Zoo River.
