Just had my 370 Dancer professionally wheeled out and waxed. With in hours there were fresh bird droppings on the top deck. Gave it a good bath but the stains remained. Tried many local marine products and as a last resort I finally removed them with Clorox bathroom cleaner with bleach. They magically dissapeared. Of course it removed the wax and left a dull finish. Is there a strong enough product out there that can do the job without removing the wax? Thanking everyone in advance.

I have used Starbrite slide and bird stain remover for quite a few years and am very happy with the results. I recommend the product.

I’ve been using the Clorox spot cleaner to good effect, but will try the Starbright instead. It looks like a better product AND they make a spider repellent as well. Spiders have been making me nuts!

Best spider repellent I have found is Home Defense from your local store. Spray the lines and specific areas every few weeks to stay ahead of the pesky buggers.

We wash our boat with Woody Wax Ultra Pine boat soap. It leaves a wax finish after it dries. Bird dirt rinses off with just the water pressure of the hose. Sun beaches any remaining stain if one exists. Mostly the stains also disappear with the rinse.

Wow. Sounds too good to be true. I'll try it
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions

Is the boat under a roof?

Iron out or BarKeepers friend work well

We spray our dock and boat with Home Defense so there is nothing near the boat for the birds to eat. They don't particularly enjoy boating. They are there for the buffet. We just returned from cruising for several weeks and picked up a load of spiders. The birds enjoyed it while it lasted but as soon as I sprayed the boat and the dock, they moved on and have not returned. Best technique is to spray while the boat is still in need of a wash. After three or four days the spiders are dead. Then we wash the boat and get it back to a pristine level of cleanliness. Weekly washes after that. We are still spider and bird poop free after after 7 to 10 days in the home slip. No birds sitting on the boat.

No the boat is in the open. Do you wipe the barkeep s on the railing?

The iron out or keeper friend are for removal of the stains in the fiberglass. Use the HomeDefence on the lines, docks, and anything on the the dock

Just be glad you don't one of these hummers calling on a daily basis. Think greasy messes about the size of cigars. They don't eat spiders and enjoy boats for the good views they offer of bait fish swimming below them. Giant Blue Heron in cased you missed it.

I have been cleaning up after the birds since moving into our slip 2 years ago. At the recommendations here, I picked up 2 spray bottles of the Star Brite stuff. It worked like magic, as others have said.

No ones asked yet, so I will... why do you have bird droppings on your desk?

YIKES!

I am going to try to find that Starbrite stuff. We have purple martins at my marina and after you clean up the poop I have brown stains that permeate the gelcoat. I have tried everything and nothing has touched them so far.
