I am looking at this Grohe handle and trying to figure out how to remove the handle so I can get to the mixing valve. It has a sleeve behind the rotating handle, but the sleeve also rotates and it has a little hole in it. I have been poking around in there to see if maybe there is an allen screw in there, and I am having no luck.

I have been searching here and everywhere else and not seeing how to remove.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks gerryb!

I called them this morning and it turns out I have a Europlus model. I sent the guy a photo and he sent me the installation manual, and it turns out the handle separates toward the wall and there is a 3mm allen screw in the underside. Now I just need to get a 3mm allen wrench. lol

You are very welcome. I have many Grohe products in our boat and homes partly due to their great product support and warranty. Post a pic here for future reference to anyone else that might need help.

Here's the photo of my shower handle. Its kinda unclean, but you guys get the idea.

Just did that project on my 44 Sundancer. Same faucet, same handle. Spent literally hours trying to stick my 3 mm allen wrench in that hole and couldn't seat it. Finally realized you can just pull on the handle and it pops off! After that it was easy.

Did all your's have that plastic snap-in piece come off?

Yep.

Popped right off.

The trouble I had was the fact that the valve housing was only held there by the face plate screws, so as soon as I removed the screws, the whole valve body fell down where I could barely reach it.

We're you able to get it back on and have it stay. Seems like there are clips that hold it in, but on mine some are broken so it kid of dangles there.

Figured out that the little cubby hole box could be removed to give me ample access to that area. There was no way I could only work within that little hole. So I got it all figured out. Put it all back together, sealed everything up, and then the valve is in backwards. SMH So, the hot comes on first, then the cold, but at least it works for now. Will go back in and fix it tomorrow or Sunday morning.

Yup, I did the same thing.....gotta access valve from BEHIND.....inside the cabinet in the galley, the panel comes out to get to the guts of the shower valve
