The track on my cabin door is broken into two pieces. It still works but not very well. I looked for a new one (fp marine, Great Lakes, eBay) with no luck. Anyone know if it’s poosible to find these or who might be able to make one?

Try boat outfitters. If it's not on their website, then give them a call. I've been able to source a few unusual items from them over the years that were not on their website.

Hi Shawn. Both were broken, but I fixed the rollers. So now its just the track that’s broken. In the picture, you can see that the track has about a 30 degree bend on the left side that just goes for an inch or two. It’s broken at that bend, but it’s hard see that in the picture. I’ve tightened it down and it works ok. But sometimes the roller gets caught at the break and I’m afraid over time the roller will break again. I already had to take door apart and rebuild parts of it when the roller broke off. I’m trying avoid that repair again. It looks like sea ray took a straight track, cut out a triangle, then bent the track down.

Thanks Tom. I will call boat outfitters and see what they say.

Actually, I reused the rollers as they were in pretty good shape. After years of abuse, the screws holding the rollers in place were broken off. I disassembled the door, removed the broken screws and put new teak trim on. Then screwed the rollers into the new trim pieces. It works well now except that one spot where the track is broken.

I've come to the realization that this door setup is inherently evil.I have rebuilt mine about 3 times and now, no one, with the exception of my wife and I is allowed to touch that door.
Brian, I bought oversized nylon rollers a Home Depot. I put a long screw w/nut through it, chucked it up in a drill and got it to the proper size with a file.

As for the c channel, the closest thing I can find commercially is from McMaster Carr
https://www.mcmaster.com/#c-channels/=1e1dr79 (And its not the right size)
I would think a decent machine shop could do the channel the best.

When I had my 340 I never had a problem with the track but I had to replace the rollers. I found some at Lowe's or Home Depot that were the right size and did a little modification to make them fit. As for the track I doubt it is a standard size extrusion and it's 30 +/- years old. However, if you had some pictures and dimensions and started searching the web for extruders or distributors of extruded molding you might find something. I actually had some luck with searches like this while restoring my 1985 Cobalt. Took a lot of digging on the internet and a shitload of patience but it paid off.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will keep searching. And, in the meantime, maybe I’m the only one to touch that door! My wife gets frustrated with it sometimes and is a little hard on it.

It really is kind of an 'iffy' design and my wife is less than patient with it sometimes as well.
When you go to put it all back together, some thin nylon washers between the door and the track seems to help our keep from binding so often.
