Barnegat inlet 2018

Has anyone been through Barnegat Inlet this season?
I am coming in from north Barnegat Bay to spend the weekend in Ocean city nj tomorrow and I was thinking going on the outside as the weather is improving instead of going inside through little egg inlet.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The Oyster Creek channel was recently dredged . I went through last month and never saw less than 10 foot depth
