This is next on my to do list! Didn't bother me until on the hook last weekend and seeing the 5+ amp draw from the lights alone!

Is the light in the shower the same spring clip design? Mines pretty loose. The pucker factor is pretty high when pulling these lights down.

all the lights are the same.... I use two flat head screw drivers to pry the light down. its still a shit show. Those springs are no joke. Spackle knife is too sharp on the ends .

Ok, I'm going from memory here (not too reliable in a 58 year old head) but it seems that the shower fixtures twisted off as opposed to snapped off like the rest of the interior lights. Maybe year model makes a difference?

I'd just say don't pull too hard on those until you've given them a firm twist in both directions to see.

When you turn it, it "clicks." Almost like a ratcheting sound.

Yes the shower light twists off.. But it has the same spring set up that's why u hear what u hear. I broke the spring on one side. I was able to get it off. I think I pulled down enough to lock the fixture from spinning... Getting old memory sucks !

So to Robski's point, the entire unit is twisting and you need to put enough pull tension on it so that the friction of the snap springs is greater than the thread friction. I remember having this issue in my guest head but not the master head.

Awesome, how much was that and were did you order? Love it

It was ugly...about $750 or so, and Thad King at Marine Max in Ohio was able to locate it for me when my own Sea Ray dealer wouldn't help out. His number is 419.797.4492

Those bulbs are the same G4’s that are in all the cabin fixtures in my 410. I replaced them all last year with warm white LED versions from Amazon. They are cheap and great!
My boat has the spring fixtures too. They swivel back and forth so you can direct the light. The two springs are located 90 degrees away from the two swivel points. I found the best way to pull them down was by using plastic automotive trim removal tools. I’ve got a set I use for when I tinker around with the cars, but they are pretty cheap and available on Amazon.
Use the tool to get them started then pull them down with your fingers. Still a bit rough on the fingers, but better than without the tool and less risk of breaking the springs or ripping a headliner.

I was afraid of damaging the headliner, I was picturing it acting like a cookie cutter so I just slid a piece of tablet back under the edge for protection before prying.
