420 DA Thread

it's in that thread. had to call my dealer. they ordered it. under $200 shipped and comes as a complete piece. it should come pre-"glued" as one piece.

i'm not aware of any miter cuts or gluing on the windshield screw cover trim...looked like a straight piece to me.

No sorry...I meant the side windows where it turns and goes up to the arch....the turn is mitered.

FYI - I just called my Sea Ray dealer and he is asking $5.50/ft

Thanks for the info

Behind your electrical panel. Couple of screwed and it'll swing wide open

Wow. Holy crap. Thought it would be closer. I use the "closet" forward above the couch as my tool cabinet and wanted to mount my cordless drill battery charger.

Might just install another outlet in there and pull from the master head outlet.

Thanks!

So after following Hynespa write up on posts #1223 and #1225 I installed this new TV. Writeup was excellent so thank you again. With this TV there were minor changes to the details provided. The screws only need to be 3/4"long for the TCL Roku 28" Smart TV and no spacers were needed. I did need to get an extension cord about 4 foot. Other than that, a step stool and friend at times completed the job in about an hour....

So over the weekend my smart craft rudder position indicator completely spazzed out. Was all over the road. Never matching or coming close to the Raymarine auto pilot rudder position . Long story short the brass housing that holds the coupling which connects to the raymarine rudder position was slightly corroded . Making the coupling stick. disassembled . sanded .. smooth as … well ill let u guys fill that part in ..
Pics attached .

I replaced my original steering wheel, and look to see if I still have it if you're interested. It's the grey elm wood, and was in great condition if I remember.

Do you have a pic of what you replaced it with ?

Tom,
if u find it, post a pic. I'm coming up with no replacement .

Hi Rob,

I'm in the process of looking for it now. I will definitely let you know if I'm successful in locating it.

Finally managed to pull off the burned out overhead salon light (see pic). Does anybody have a link to which LED bayonet style bulb will work in this fixture. I might go ahead and replace all the salon overheads with LED.

I changed out all lights down below. Best thing ever. Reduced heat output, and the amp draw now is negligible. I used these:

There may be something better out there now. It was a bit of a trial and error job. I don't care for light that is "blue". That is the Kelvin parameter in the specs. You also have to find a bulb with the right amount of light output (Lumens) for your application.
