Where is my Stereo Amplifier ??

Hi have a 2005, 260 sundancer, where the hell is the amplifier ? it took 3 hours to search for it, and i still not found it !....i did remove a lot of stuff and panel to find it... i know my amp is the problem… please help… thanks !
 
If it is like my 290 was then it is behind the electric switch panel in the cabin. Unfortunately there is so little slack in those wires it’s hard to pull the panel far away from the cabinet. Even with the upgraded sub don’t expect much. It may be a small clarion.
 
In my mind I'm picturing a sped-up video of you tearing apart the inside of your boat and putting it all back together. Could have been Youtube gold. :)

I was going to suggest the same as a poster above - check behind your main breaker panel.

I did follow the cable That goes to the amp and its going all around the cockpit passing in engine room, and going where the throttle is... and then cant follow it. Ouf !!
 
yeah, my 06 260 didnt have an amp either.. powered from head unit.. they have a wire harness for the speakers, power, etc..

i added 2 amps, 2 speakers and a sub... now on a dedicated battery which it will drain in 6hrs of medium volume...

dodgeboy, the cable you are trying to follow is it an rca cable? or is it the cable to the remote. If it was going to an amp, there would also be a usually blue remote turn on lead with an rca cable. No way they would have mounted an amp under your helm at Sea Ray. What is it doing or not doing and we can probably help you. List model number of the head unit too. If it is the factory Clarion, there are some annoying things to set especially when the power has been disconnected.
