We had the boat out yesterday. It was me and three friends. Full tank of gas, full water tank, empty holding tank, medium amount of gear.

The boat was fine at first. We were having lots of fun. After about 2.5 hours of cruising my SmartCraft system started throwing an alarm. The alarm went off every time the oil pressure got up to about 60 on the gauge. We limped back a few miles at 5MPH. Every time I tried to put a load on the motor it thew the alarm. After about 30 minutes I decided to open it up and try it out again. I got her up to a cruising speed and it didn't throw the alarm anymore.

The boat only has about 200 hours on it.

What do you guys think? Something in the oil? Clogged oil filter? Bad sensor? Something completely different?

What should I do?

Thanks.

SmartCraft is like a nagging parent with ADHD. If it's focused on what it thinks is a problem, it will not let you forget about it. But after a restart it seems there is no issue, you'll be left alone.

That said, test it a few times (ideally without passengers) and see if the alarm sounds again.
