I watched and adjusted them accordingly. When I adjusted it exactly the way i was suppose to, wouldn't engage into reverse at all, just clicking. I followed the video from SEI marine products.
Does the control cables/ control box all work together to the lower shift cable?

hey all, i've done quiet a bit of research and it seems like it's not a job for me. I called a few places for estimates which ranged from $1700-$2500. Does that seem reasonable?
When you say pull the engine out, completely out of the boat? Or just enough where I can access the coupler.
another question, if it was the outdrive itself, it wouldn’t be locking into gear correct? And why wouldn’t the outdrive engage?
I just want to know how these things work.
