Name is Graham, 25 years old, currently in graduate school at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I received my B.S. in Geology last May and am currently half way into my Masters in the same program. Spent last summer working for an oil company and am looking forward to doing the same this...
I do believe I would I would take the Porter Cable Orbital Polisher to his head. Why he is even doing that around boats is beyond me. You are already paying to store it there......why not get some free chips in the gelcoat while you are at it.
Sigh.

Thanks Wes, guess thats what I get for taking a fairly long hiatus from the board.
But at least I brought something new to the table.....check out the rims on that trailer!!!!

p.s. Wes, I think you are the king of YouTube links......do you have a vested interest in that...
Put it in here since its a Malibu but this thing is overdone/useless/whatever. I kind of thought it was a cool marketing boat which obviously is marketed directly at Corvette owners.......that was until I found out it was $106,000. It has a Corvette Z06 engine in it but damn.

Well, its coming, although schedule vs. weather is not working in my favor. Today we have blowing dust, 35-40mph winds, and 92 degrees. Should be able to hit the ground running next week. That being said here is the current progress: http://www.darkskyproductions.com/boat/gutted.JPG

I stopped by the local Fastenal store today and looked around. Not only do I not want to do business with them but they didn't carry them in stock. The stupid "sales" person:
a. tried to convince me that the "non-fanged" versions would do what I wanted
b. gave me a go to hell look when I...
I checked out their website and as I suspected its a maze of links aimed at someone who knows exactly what they need. I will likely swing by there tomorrow but let me know if you can get them because I would rather give someone on the board business.
Thanks for the help,
GrahamB
The Tee nuts seem to have similar teeth but in a different fashion. The bolt/nut combo im looking for have the teeth on the head of the bolt and lock washers.
Thanks for the help

I am re-doing the interior of my boat and these bolts were used to hold on the cushions. In Overton's they are described as "Pontoon Deck Bolts" although a search yields nothing. Overton's sells them in packs of 100 but I only need 35-45. Anyone know where to get them? What they are called...
The original Fujita scale, the scale used for ranking tornadoes, was revamped in 2007. This revamping was done so the system could be used to more accurately estimate wind speed from damage observations.

Hope this helps.

I am impressed that you are weather savy enough to note the NWS Fujita rating change to include the (Enhanced) EF3/EF4. For most of the population that change went without so much as an eyebrow being lifted!!
Back to the topic at hand. Having chased tornadoes for many years, seeing the...
Another vodka I suggest you try is Tito's Vodka. It is made in Austin, Texas and although it hasn't been around for long it has been quickly winning awards and going up in price. I discovered it in Austin when I lived there and back then it was $20 for a handle.....now I don't even think you...
Kind of late to the show on this thread but thought I would add my 2 cents. A good friend of ours has the strap lift and uses it on his ~25ft bayliner. When I was there about 12 years ago he was bringing the boat out of the water after a fishing trip and right when he stopped the strap broke...
Due to my busy schedule with graduate school and teaching labs I decided to drop my boat off to be winterized at a local shop. Well yesterday I received a wonderful call from the mechanic. Next thing I knew a $100 winterizing turned into a ~$850 service ticket. The mechanic went to drain the...
