I have a 1997 270 DA with a 454 7.4 LITER with a Bravo III drive. It's been running find all summer - but yesterday afternoon when I took it out I could only get it to generate about 2600 RPM's at full throttle. The engine did not sound that bad and there was no smoke.... but that's all...

Good luck on finding one for under 25K. I looked for a long time and paid $27,000 for a boat I'm really happy with. Most boats, whether through a broker, dealer or private seller were priced in the $35K to 39K range. The good news is - mine (so far) was worth the wait. :smt038

I bought my used Sun Dancer 270 this past spring for a great price. I put money into an inspection to confirm my evaluation and have been very pleased with the purchase. I started looking at the end of last season but I'm glad I waited until I found the right boat at the right price. God luck!
