Will do. I took mine apart and cleaned it. Put it back together and now I can get two little grunts out of it before silence. Hey, before that it was completely silent.
I bought a 1990 220 DA in April. It had a new engine installed in 2007, and a new stern drive in 2008. Only 15 hours on the engine and none on the stern drive. I am still having trouble keeping it running on plane. My guess is trash in the fuel tank. The tank is almost twenty years old, and I...
Thanks.
When I used the muffs,I guess I had the water pressure too high. I had a lot of water escapage from the muffs. But I had a bout the same amount coming out at the cylinders, as with the tub,so I guess it was about the same.
The muffs are easier. I had plenty of cold water in the tub...
With the stern drive all the way down, I have water spraying out both sides. It is just above the end of the lift cylinders. Is that right?
More details:
I was thinking that it would exhaust with less force. At first I thought it may go down and out the stern drive to help cool it, but that is...
"missing screws" I don't know. I have never seen one before. I took the screws out of the front, 4 of them. I have noticed that replacements mention 8 screws. I thought maybe the louvers were sold in pairs. I sure hope there are no screws in that box that have to come out. I just can get my arm...
The louver seems to be attached to a box behind it. Any advice on how this works. I have one that has a hole in it and want to replace it. I took the screws out to measure the cut out, but could not get the louver off. When I move it, the box behind it moves and vice versa.
I hope there is a...
I'm not surprised that is the the way Sea Ray does it. Everything I am finding out and discovering about this boat is terrific. Sorry but I did not know Sea Ray from Bayliner when I started looking for boats. I read forums and websites for weeks while I was looking for a boat and decided the 220...
Good ideas. I also thought about having a zipper put in the Bimini. If I could unzip it where the window folds over I could step through and it would be easier to get to the anchor and to tie up at the dock. It would have to be a sturdy and secure zipper but it sure would help. I am about 6'3"...
Lazy Daze, I think you have identified it.
Here is a link with the images.
I believe the top link is just to the tubes, the lower is to the album.
First time posting link and just created the folder.

91 Dancer,
Thanks, I thought people were just reading past that. I had the seats redone and that snap must have been left off.
I have never had any trouble with the seat staying folded and stored. The back rest flips down and holds the seat cushion in.
Jack, that picture was great. I do try to keep my hobbies separate however.
Nicky and Sweet D. I am about 10 miles from the VA border, but we stay on the road all the time. Thanks for the invite, maybe after we get a little more experience.
