for some places, we do but most of the time we don't... some do not not even have any specific meaning ... so I would rather go to some quite towns with strange names ... than to Phuket or Samui..

Yes, Phuket is very beautiful and there are so many exotic places closed by like the Beach (the movie) to visit to....actually, there are mnay more you can sail to eg Samui or Trad...
