They sure did, but they sure shouldn't have. I had an '88 268 Weekender with that package (see my sig). Blew the drive twice. Sold the boat after that. I believe they changed to a Bravo I in '89.
I owned a 1990 310 Express Cruiser for more than 10 years. It was the perfect size and had a great balance of cockpit space vs. cabin space. It was very big to be called a 310 and starting in 1992 Sea Ray rebadged it as 330. I'm sure you'll lover her!
Welcome aboard
Jeff, I was having the same issue since I bought my boat last August. Single beep, rpm drop and almost instant recovery. Almost like you turn the engine off and then back on. This was happening randomly, infrequently, at first but it got worse and started happening regularly. Doing my own...
Well, don't know what might have changed from 2002-2006 but my numbers are accurate. The speed came from a handheld GPS the surveyor was using and my own first-hand numbers are from the SmartCraft gauges. They do vary given changes in load and sea conditions, as I noted, but they don't vary by...
While I agree with you in principle, the 280DA is kind of unique in that it was offered with the option of a single or twins. You can't argue the fact that with twins it is twice the maintenance and double the cost, whatever that cost may be. That may or may not be significant to a prospective...
Hi Steve, So I bought a 2006 280DA with a single 496 just last August. It had 495 hours when I got it and I've only put about 25 hours on it before our season ended. To give some insight into performance, it got up to 45 mph on the sea trial, which impressed the hell out of me. My rather...
It's all good brother! As I said earlier, my only issue was that Blink is not the supplier to Sea Ray, Kinequip is, as is shown on the EIMs I actually have installed in my boat. Additionally, the eyebrow version I saw at my Sea Ray dealer were also made by Kinequip.
Just found 2 more pics of...
Anything is possible, however, Kinequip makes all 3 types of switchpad/EIM designs; peanut, eyebrow and kidney. I have the kidney style in my boat and I've seen the eyebrow style at the Sea Ray dealer. It was also made by Kinequip.
Woah, touchy, touchy...
I was ONLY replying to YOUR claim that, "Blink Marine brought the original EIM manufacturer and also they are manufacturers of the new replacement units that Sea Ray are selling."
That is NOT true.
Unless you have some additional information. Please, enlighten us.
The replacement switchpads and EIM from Blink as described by argus1 are NOT the ones being sold by Sea Ray, as far as I know. I know this for a fact because I have the ones sold by Sea Ray installed right now in my 2006 280DA. They are manufactured by Kinequip in North Carolina. I have had...
