I am looking for a 27 foot sea ray weekender early 90's. I would prefer a boat with twin straigt inboards but not sure if sea ray makes a boat that small with twin inboards. Does anyone know if they do?

I agree with copB8tx regarding the 300 Weekender. I Had the 1988 with straight inboard screws. Good room to work on and never had a single problem in the 3 years I owned her. Great rough water boat and not too shabby on performance.. Good luck with your decision.
You have some excellant background and a good handle on what you want to do so, I can't offer much advise. What I can tell you after being self employed for 17 years is, do not buy or start a buisiness to create a job for yourself. Do it with only one thought in mind, to make money!, and you...
Open hatches can be the problem but I have to ask, did you have the air turned up full (as in full cold), if so,close those hatches and turn the air up a little. When I tried to run mine on high when I first arrived at the boat on a hot weekend, it would ice up as well. Turning the air down a...
There should be a hull ID # on the outside of the transom, or possibly inside. The last 2 didgets represent the year the boat was made and perhaps you can then go to the Sea Ray archives on line.
I just finished waxing the boat. I have the 7" foam applicator pads that get velcroed onto the main pad. How do you guys get these things clean of the wax. I put them in warm dish soap water last night but not sure if that will work or there is a better way. Any better suggestions?
I agree, stranger things have happened. I have had to deal with registered trademarks in the past and was only giving the guy a "heads up" . I never stated it was a trademark violation I just said it could be. I can say this for certain though, there is tons of litigation happening as we...
Really like the name but, Indigo is a Canadian book store. Is this a possible trade mark violation? Don't want to discourage you, but something to think about or possibly check on.
Solid advise from Frank. had a friend of mine go the "Ill purchase the part" route. The thing went bad and when he went back to the marine mechanic he stated "bad part". Well, I don't think I need to tell the rest of the story. As Frank said, they do it all, they fix if things go wrong.
Vamanos, there may be whats call a "step down" bildge pump
which may be located under your steps down to your cabin. It should be an automatic bildge pump but should have a manual switch on your dash. I would at least check this first. Perhaps someone with the same boat will chime in and...
Thanks Dave. My gelcoat was in real good shape at the end of the season so am going to give just the wax a whirl first. I will take your advise at seasons end though, and do the compound then wax before layup. Thanks
