Scotty Mount on new Highfield CL360

Probably correct with it being a NW thing. Wore out a scotty and moved over to the Ace with the hands free kit. Ours are set up with swivel mounts on reinforced bases directly to the handrails for height and reach over the side on our 245. Battery capacity would be a concern for me on a small...

Did you have a gun-sports related hobby? Tell us about you and your hobby.

Thought I would give this thread a bump. Broke in the new barrel on the 300 Sako. It's sub MOA at 200 with the first load I put together using 168 TTSX's. Pretty happy with that. Put it along with the Sea Ray to work last week towing the jetboat close to 100 miles down the coast with one of my...

    2023 it’s time

Maybe not feasible for you, but trailering is a great option for boats of this size if you have parking for them. Foul storms and extreme low temps are the only thing that effects our winter runs. Will probably still get 10-14 days out on the water before year end.

Boat is taking on water somewhere slowly..

Take a look under the Y pipe as well. It can leak along with where the trim cyl lines come in. Reaching down with your phone on video can help with the blind spots.

    1977 SRV 240 SDB

It's a beauty and looks to be well taken care of. Love the lines on these tough old hulls. Haven't done much myself with the trim and finish on ours yet, but have done all the major structural repairs along with upgraded power. They are tough as nails and surprisingly economical to run when...

Prop Demand Data vs. Actual Fuel Data - LONG

I guess where I was going with my last comment was, do you monitor fuel returning to the tank with the floscan as well? Only recording the supply can be misleading unless you do your fuel top ups after running each recorded rpm bracket. Was just a thought.

Prop Demand Data vs. Actual Fuel Data - LONG

How did you confirm your floscan results? Fuel top up after testing? I did some testing/set up several years ago on stationary generators in a remote fishing lodge on the AK border. The customer wanted to be able to monitor fuel consumption remotely (Calgary, AB). I found the ecu (calculated)...

exhaust manifolds switching from one piece, to 2 piece.

I hate to contradict other contributors, but looking at your original manifolds, they are plumbed with all water returning to the elbow at bottom of the manifolds. 4a in the bulletin, as I read it, says to use the 4 slotted gaskets. Maybe there is a later bulletin? Would be nice to be corrected...

any other option besides cracked block?

Sounds positive. The valley is a common spot as mentioned by others. There is also casting plugs in the back of the block behind the flywheel. Hopefully you don't have problems with those ones. Good luck!

exhaust manifolds switching from one piece, to 2 piece.

Just a FYI. Looked at several of the links along with the original market place photos you initially posted. Most of them show a restrictor gasket between the manifold and elbow. Depending on the plumbing you have, it is more likely than not that you need the gaskets with 4 slots. Here is Merc...

any other option besides cracked block?

That just popped up in a search. Here's another. http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/4-3-tks-cracked-intake-manifold.79409/ My inboards have all been v8. Have just heard of this a few times living in the north. Hopefully it is simple outcome for you.

any other option besides cracked block?

A freeze crack in the intake manifold is common on the 4.3. It dumps into the valley.

Pandora, Spotify, SiriusXM, Amazon Music, etc. which do you use and why?

We use the dock kits so we can use XM in home and all vehicles with just one subscription. In respect to your covered slip question, if it is just a light roof for a cover, you should be fine. It sounds like some slips have lofts in them? If yours does, you may have problems. Our system works...

    Cone Clutch or Coupler...

One of the repaired props failed? Not sure how much vibration that would cause with the B3? It's quite a bit with the B2. Will be interesting to see what you find.
