Steamy exhaust on generator. Point me in the right direction!

open your sea cock valve with the strainer top removed to make sure that you have free flow to the strainer. I had grass clogging the 90 fitting on the intake side. I had the top of the strainer off and the valve wide open and no flow. However if the top of the strainer was on and the...

    Salon temperature

Just throwing my 10 cents in. I noticed this weekend that a newer model year version of my boat (2005 48 Sundancer) discharged the AC circulation water directly out the hull adjacent to where the units are located. My boat discharges all the circulation water from all the units out the same port...

    Trim Tabs leaking

Tabman, I noticed that my Starboard Trim tab will not stay down. creeps its way back up. Ran a test and noticed fluid in the water. No visible fluid leak in ER. The boat is a 48 Sundancer. Each Tab uses 2 hydraulic actuators. Two questions. 1. Where should I start? and 2. Can I fix everything...

    48 Sundancer Cockpit AC

Just so that my original point is not missed. What I discovered is that it appears to me that the cockpit AC systems on the Sundancers are sort of an after thought. The modification that I did to mine corrects the major problem that I discovered. Basically if the AC unit is on one side of the...

    320 da Sink cover

I realize I will catch hell for this question but I just have to ask. What is the reason for the cover?

    48 Sundancer Cockpit AC

Upgrading the Salon TV does not seem practical to me. I have thought about all the different scenarios. I like the TV on the same side of the room as the couch so that noone is walking in front of you. Also, a flip down above the galley would interfere with anyone in the Galley. I would...

This Would Be a Bad Day

From the pictures I can tell two things. The boat is a 2005 thru 2007 model. Therefore it does not have Zeus drives and therefore would not have Skyhook. The other thing I noticed is that the Swin ladder was down. Someone had to put it down. As if someone went into the water planning on...

Wanted Sunpad for 2006 44" sundancer

Not sure if this helps or not. I bought my 2005 48 Sundancer in 2007 and it did not have a sundpad. I ordered a 2008 version sunpad directly from Sea Ray. Took about 2 weeks for delivery once ordered.

    Replacing SR Navigator

I have a C-120 Radar/Charplotter mounted next to a SR Navigator. For various reasons, I want to replace the Navigator with another C-120. Question 1: Is it just a simple plug and play situation? do I need additional cables? Is it something that I should be able to do myself? Question 2: Will...

    48 Sundancer Cockpit AC

Thanks for all the responses. I basically turned my helm area into an up stairs Salon. I replaced the small cockpit TV with larger 35" version and fabricated a TV lift that lifts the TV up over Port Helm seating so that it can be rotated to be viewed from the swivel captains chair. I like...

    48 Sundancer Cockpit AC

I guess that is the point. If I am upstairs, I want to be able to see and be seen and not be in an enclosed coccoon with all the windows covered up. Might as well go down in the salon. Just curious Do you guys think that it was Sea Ray's intention to be able to keep it cool on a hot day...

"IMT High" on Smartcraft (Cummins QSCs)

I think what they are saying is that when the engines get turned off or are run for a very long period, the sensors abosorb/soak alot of heat and get very hot and don't really cool down. If the engines are started back up then the sensors could be reading hotter temperatures than the actual temp...
