Okay, I really feel like an idiot. I've torn apart many areas on my 410 Dancer, upgraded/repaired TV's, plumbing, horn, windlass, etc. But, I can't figure out how to remove the *&r$%* aft cabin TV. It's a little 10" VCR combo unit.
I've torn out the couch, removed panels in the small...
I recently replaced both sets of exhaust manifolds with stainless ones and had custom risers/pipes fabricated by Stainless Marine (http://www.stainlessmarine.com/). Except for the price, I couldn't be happier. They look and work great. My boat is exclusively in salt water, and I have one of...
I surfed the web a long time before finally buckling down and having a friend build this custom for me. I removed one of the oval pieces in the swim platform (not sure what they're for anyway) and installed an aluminum top plate and matching ring underneath, sandwiching the fiberglass. We then...
So, I've replaced all 4 duckbill valves and the bellows with new parts. The pump still won't shut off. It's also not creating pressure at the toilet end, so I suspect it is not a swtich problem. I guess I'll check for vacuum leaks and then tear the toilet apart. Oh joy.
Wow, you guys are amazing. I hope this advice helps other boaters as much as it's helping me. Thank you so much!
I'm off to check my elbows and will report back. One additional thing I heard from my mechanic is that many of these manifolds are painted after manufacture and they get paint on...
Hmm. Learning a bit more about this boat and this problem. This EC has underwater exhaust and the engines sit very low in the boat. Because of this, there's a funky muffler setup that tries to keep water from coming back in through the exhaust.
In addition, the risers sit on top of a 6"...
Mine was doing the same thing, and I finally discovered a small leak near the inlet of the ice maker. My boat has an accumulator tank, but somebody bypassed it before I owned the boat. I'm getting ready to plumb it back in and hope it's still functional.
Help! I have a weird engine problem that even Mercruiser seems baffled by.
I have a 7.4 Mercruiser engine which my mechanic told me needed new exhaust manifolds and new risers. It wasn't getting any water in it, but there was a crack in the exhaust manifold and the risers were very corroded...
I had the bellows out when I cleaned the pump. Is there a way to tell visually if they're bad?
I'll check the bottom gasket for leaks and order the pressure gauge. With two heads, it's probably not the only time I'll need it.
Thank you all for your advice. I'll post the solution when I...
Okay, I've read through all of the threads I can find and went to my local Vacuflush dealer. I still can't get things working right, so I hope you guys might help me avoid a visit from the plumber.
I've got a Vacuflush system with a vacuum generator. It's the white tank with the black pump...
I decided to play it safe. I ordered the exact same Atwood as a drop-in replacement. It is very accessible at the front of the bilge and shouldn't be too big a job. I just need to break the screws loose.
Need the plastic tracks for the main hatch door. They're the horizontal ones that mount in the left side of the dash.
They appear to be Searay parts 1338615 and 1338607, labeled Track, 410DA-00, Cabin Entry Top (port/starboard)
Thanks!
All of the air horn cover threads appear to be dated. After some Bing searces, here are a few sources I found for ordering the dual air horn cover:
