I have one on my 2005 390MY. I just bought the boat in July 2016, and I have never even tried to turn the thing on. I plan to replace it with a second MFD.

Wow...they are lucky that it wasn't much worse. That's exactly what killed the Marlin's pitcher, Jose Fernandez and his two friends. Even if they find that alcohol or drugs weren't involved, inexperience and speed are deadly enough all on their own.

The dinghy that came with the 390MY I recently purchased has an older (maybe circa 1998-2004) Johnson 6hp outboard. It runs OK, but probably needs a little TLC, like spark plugs, filters, etc. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to remove the cover/cowling. Anyone have suggestions...
