Thanks for all the info....I am going up to the boat this weekend. I will pull the cabin breaker panel out & check all the wires. The shore cord is in good shape. I cleaned all the prongs on all the cords with contact cleaner. I only use the heater when freeze warnings are expected, I pulled it...
I have a Lowrance LCX 111c chart plotter. Bought it from a marina. It came with the GPS puck LGC-2000. Can anyone tell me what cable I need to connect the two? I called a Lowrance tech support person, who barely spoke english, and he said it was not made anymore. The part # he gave me was for a...

Thanks Ducky, I did a search & got everything but what I was looking for...
The thing is, I live two hours from the boat, spend maybe 4 days in a row on the boat. Doesn't happen while I'm there, even with everything on, including the air conditioner & running the microwave. Very frustrating!
Happens even when I have the heater unplugged during the summer. But yes, i am running a 50 amp/two 30 amp Y cord. One wye goes to the boat, One wye to the heater. Only plug that in when there is a freeze warning.
I keep having this issue...I have a 1988 270 Sundancer. The main switch on my breaker panel in the cabin keeps tripping & when that happens, my batteries don't charge. I haven't added any new circuits. My bilge heater is directly wired to my dock power. It never does it when I am there for the...
Thank you, everyone.. Dennis, the previous owner had three different brand batteries, three different sizes.
I have been having issues with my panel circuit breaker tripping whenever the power goes out at the marina. It does not reset itself. Therefore, batteries don't charge & die a slow death...
I need to replace the batteries on my 270 weekender.. The boat is 2 hours away from me... It has the twin 4.3 and the generator. I know there are three batteries. Can someone tell me the group size of the batteries, so I can buy them before I head up to the boat? Thanks!
Yup, tried that. That's where I bought all my parts. Talked to tech support, she told me I might have to cut & patch. I was looking to see if anyone else had the same prob. I am not looking forward to cutting my valve out !
I have a Nautica RIB. Bought it used. The valves need replacing. The old HR valves are probably the originals & are pretty dry rotted. Tried using a metal valve tool to remove them, it just broke all the little tabs. Any suggestions on how to remove these old things without cutting & patching...
The PITA factor may make it out of my $ range. The EPA really keeps an eye on the pro washing companies ie: have to pull the boat so many feet from the water & collect & reclaim the runoff before it gets to the waterway. Failure to do so will be a 10k$ fine (even though the stuff I'm washing off...
I have a pressure washing business as a side job. I was wanting some tips from the gurus here. What do you use to clean the bottom with? Bleach mix? Simple Green? I stay on an inland river, so no barnacles. My pressure washer is a 5000 psi, 5.5 gpm hot water unit. My marina does not offer bottom...
