I managed to get a 10-32 tap in and turn it PAINFULLY SLOWLY with pliers to try to chase the threads.
It will hold the bolt with out the anode on. But when I try to attach the anode the 3/4 inch bolt is not long enough to get a grip
into the hole.
Going to try a 1 inch and maybe some more...
I cannot get the little 8mm bolts on the collar zinc to bite into the ram end cap holes. It seems stripped holes is a common problem.
There is no room to tap new threads without dissasembling the ram, or get a drill in straight to add a helicoil.
Someone suggested using a 3/4 x 2 1/8 inch shaft...
Easier said than done. A few issues
1. My forearm will not fit thru the 4'' access plate to reach the pin. I had to cut and put a bigger 6 inch inspection plate and hole in to get my elbow in
2. The pin may be corroded and difficult to pull, especially with your weight on the hatch. I had to...
I dont understand how this works. The charger (ac/dc converter) is fed directly from AC Shore power, then feeds DC to the batteries. the batteries then feed the main DC board and DC circuits.
If the DC feed circuit is opened when the batteries are completely disconnected, how is DC power...
No way. It is original and old technology. Dinosaur. Throw it away. The smart chargers today are infinitely better. Promariner 1230 or 1240 fits in the same place. Easy DIY upgrade.
You must be comprehensively challenged. I am buying OEM parts. The same parts. Just not paying as much for them. You just double bogeyed. What don't you understand?
Thats what I thought
I think I figured it out. The original part number works but shows backorders or out of stock at major online retailers. But a new part number works and says in stock. I try to stay out of dealers / West Marine and their stupid pricing unless need it right away.
I...
Im trying to source an OEM distributor cap and rotor for a 5.7 Horizon MPI . Its crazy everyone is out of stock or backorder for a month. Any suggestions? Some of the ones on Amazon say they are OEM but in the comments you see they are def not. Anyone have a favorite supplier?
I had to remove some trim around the companionway to get the steps out) cracked weld repair on step support). The trim pieeces were held in with screws and a tan adhesive / sealant.
Does anyone know what that stuff is? Or a good alternative goo to use?
