I've been meaning to thank you for your advice. I was able to follow the diagram to the orange wire from the back of the alternator to the starter solenoid. It was cut right at the nut holding the wire and the 90 amp fuse. Ran new 8 gauge wire. Works great. Getting anywhere from 13.4 to 14.1...
Thank you! I will follow diagram and check to make sure all connections are solid. I just purchased the boat and it had 2 brand new batteries in it. I think I will start there.
Thanks for replying. We were thinking that, but the reading right at the alternator was 25 volts. It should only be putting out 14 volts. I am thinking we blew the regulator.

Thank you very much for the detailed info!! I also should have mentioned that when we installed new alternator it did read 14.4 volts on the dash gauge, but after a short time on the water it dropped. I have a Fluke meter and will check all readings.
